Community Groups & Upcoming Events in Issaquah Highlands

Issaquah Highlands offers an assortment of community groups and events for people of all ages and abilities. From Poker Night to Minecraft Mania, there’s something for everyone.

We hope to see you around Blakely Hall this fall!

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community groups are open to the public and free to join unless otherwise noted. These groups are a great way to meet fellow neighbors and form lifelong friendships!

Senior Social Group

Highlands Council recently introduced a new group designed for seniors in the community to have casual social time every week. Senior Social Group, sponsored by Sunrise Senior Living, gathers at Blakely Hall on Tuesdays from 2-3:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering to help run this group, please reach contact lindsey.p@ihcouncil.org or 425-507-1109. Join us for Bingo on Oct. 11!

Business Networking Group

Additionally, Business Networking Group is returning this fall with in-person and virtual meetings on a quarterly basis. Come meet local professionals and grow your business through our inclusive, unique and connection-based networking events. The first meeting takes place at Blakely Hall on Oct. 12 from 10-11:30 a.m. For those unable to attend, a virtual meeting will be available on Oct. 26 from 10-11 a.m.

Toddler Playgroup

After a hiatus, Toddler Playgroup is also starting again for parents/caregivers and kids under 5 years old. The group meets in Blakely Hall’s studio every Wednesday from 10-11:30 a.m. Adults are responsible for the children they bring.

Other great community groups include ADHD Caregiver Support, Book Club, Chess Club, Hiking Group, Meditation Group, Minecraft Mania, Poker Night, Photography Group, Pickleball Group, Tai Chi Fitness, Toastmasters and Yarns & Threads. Learn more about each group here.

Do you have an idea for a community group that doesn’t currently exist in Issaquah Highlands? Sign up to volunteer here or contact lindsey.p@ihcouncil.org to learn more.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Spooky season is here, and we plan to celebrate in style with three Halloween events at Blakely Hall in October. Join us for Treats & Tails, Middle School Halloween Party and Night of Revelations!

Treats & Tails

Put on your Halloween costume and swing by Blakely Hall for some early indoor trick-or-treating fun for kids and pets on Oct. 21 from 12-2 p.m. The event is free, courtesy of the Highlands Youth (HY) Advisory Board and Highlands Fiber Network. All are welcome to enjoy the festivities, however, kids and pets must be accompanied by an adult.

Night of Revelations

Spend an evening with the supernatural during Night of Revelations at Blakely Hall on Oct. 27 from 7-9 p.m. View the “Shades of Magic” gallery and meet artist Ann Elizabeth Scott. Participate in a Tarot card reading and other mysterious activities, while enjoying spooktacular drinks and snacks. The event is free to attend, courtesy of Puget Sound Energy (drinks available for purchase). Come in costume if you dare! Adults only, please.

Middle School Halloween Party

Calling all middle school students!
