Our family moved to Issaquah Highlands from Chicago seven years ago. Issaquah Highlands is simply an amazing place to live. Along with its urban village charm, it offers great parks, trails, playgrounds, and ponds to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
My wife Harsha, son Arya, and I have enjoyed forming great friendships and connections with our neighbors and residents that make living here very enjoyable. The numerous activities in our community add to the wonderful experience. Whether it is Highlands Day, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, or Veterans Day, each event has its own unique features for everyone to enjoy.
Through the Connections publication and self-interest, I came to know about the various volunteer opportunities in Issaquah Highlands. I currently serve on the Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and the IHCA Finance Committee. By volunteering, I have had the pleasure of meeting and collaborating with so many residents of our community who love where we live and are involved in supporting Sarah [Hoey, IHCA executive director] and her hardworking team. I share the passion of the committee members and IHCA staff in keeping our neighborhood pristine and assisting with the best use of financial resources in keeping up with the upkeep and enhancement of our community.
Outside of the IHCA, my family has volunteered and supported the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank and has volunteered at Highlands Day.
