April is Ride Transit Month and Issaquah Highlands can enjoy new transit services.
For those of you wishing to get around locally, Issaquah’s free Route 200 bus just added a new stop at Swedish/Issaquah on Northeast Blakely Drive. The “Freebie” as we like to call it, is a great way to get around town, to avoid that uphill climb from Fred Meyer and other great conveniences.
Route 200 is a mid-day bus that serves several Issaquah destinations, including the Issaquah Community Center, Issaquah City Hall, Gilman Village, Issaquah Transit Center, Issaquah Commons and the Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride.

Metro’s Community Shuttle Route #628 just got better, too! This on-demand route for commuter hours began in 2015. It provides a lift from fixed stops along Park Drive NE to the park and ride and beyond, to North Bend, Snoqualmie Valley. All you have to do is call and make a reservation for a pick up during the service hours.
In March Metro expanded this service all the way to Blakely Hall. Do you work at Starpoint? Take the #628 up the hill in the morning and back down at the end of the day. Transfers to Metro and Sound Transit are available. Find details about the #628 here online.
The Route #628 requires curb access during its service hours. Please honor the No Parking signs Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:30 am – 9:30 am and 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm.
