The Issaquah Highlands Community Association’s annual election wrapped up on June 17, 2022.
This year, the IHCA worked with third-party voting company, Votegrity. The company streamlined the voting process by owner instead of by district, creating an easier voting experience overall.
The 2022 IHCA Board of Directors election took place for board districts 2, 4 and 6. The results are as follows:
- District 2 – Minmin Chen (appointed by board of directors during the June 27, 2022, board meeting as there was a vacancy declared for district 2)
- District 4 – Gwyn Pohl Drake (newly elected)
- District 6 – Greg Underwood (re-elected)
Next year, the board of directors’ election will be for districts 1, 3, 5 and the At-Large position. More information will be provided in spring of 2023.
Included in the 2022 election was IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604, which is a tax planning tool that permits the Homeowner’s Association to carry-over excess operating income, if any, to the following year. Homeowners across each district voted with an overwhelming majority to approve the ruling.
Thank you to each and every resident of Issaquah Highlands that took time to vote in this year’s election! We are very excited to welcome these newly elected individuals to the board of directors, joining the existing members of districts 1, 3, 5 & At-Large.
Thank you to all board members for donating their time to serve this community.
