Two openings are now available.
Alex Garrard, a Dahlia Park resident and one of the committee members, said a lot goes on behind the scenes to maintain the fantastic look and feel of the community. The Finance Committee works with a dedicated team of folks at IHCA to ensure good financial stewardship of homeowner dues.
“Finance Committee members are your neighbors,” he said.
Looking toward the future, Garrard hopes the committee will continue providing the resources needed to maintain and evolve the community through effective oversight of our shared financial resources.
The Finance Committee serves under the IHCA Board of Directors to prepare the budget and other fiscal projects. Committee members are appointed by the board.
Members must be in good standing of the association for consideration, meaning they’re current on assessments and in compliance with governing documents.
The committee conducts monthly financial analysis and reporting to track projections and variances in the budget. In conjunction with the IHCA staff, members provide research and recommendations to improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs. Board approval is required before the expenditure of any funds.
The meeting schedule is determined annually. This committee currently meets on the second Tuesday of each month, which runs from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
