Community Garden Service Time
All site maintenance is performed by you and your fellow gardeners. Every garden member is expected to share in the maintenance of the overall site – weeding common areas, cleaning up the tool shed, etc. To distribute maintenance and improvement tasks fairly, each gardener is expected to contribute at least 8 hours of service during the season to the garden. This can include the mandatory spring and fall clean-ups or your time maintaining your patch and the adjacent paths. The alternative is to increase rates to hire this work out for market rates. Write down your hours in the folder located in the shed (Vista gardens – process to be updated for Sunset Walk). If your hours have not been completed, you may not be allowed to renew your patch.
