This club promotes and preserves the unique Chinese cultural heritage awareness among the next generation for many local families. We welcome everyone who is interested in a neighborhood celebration for many traditional Chinese/American festivals right at Issaquah Highlands. Monthly activities include potlucks and workshops. The club usually meets at Blakely Hall, but meet seasonally outdoors in a local park.
This month: May 13th is Mother’s Day, in order to celebrate this special holiday, Issaquah Highlands Chinese Heritage Club will plan a crafts-making event for all the kids. We invite all the kids to come join us and work on a small gift for your mom: popsicle stick photo frame (refrigerator magnets)! The club will prepare all required materials including safety kids scissors, glue, popsicle sticks, construction paper, etc. On that day, the little one can bring one of their mom’s picture for the crafts making. Meanwhile, we will continue to give our the remained Easter bunny basket making materials to everyone, and first come first serve. P.S: Please keep your child supervised while using the scissors during the event.
