Storm Preparedness
The IHCA team is prepared to service the community in the event of high winds, excessive rain, ice and snowstorms. We work closely with trusted vendors and the City of Issaquah Public Works crews to respond quickly.
You can help by:
- Properly shutting off your irrigation system for the season
- Making sure your current contact information is on file with the IHCA office
- Registering your renters with the office
- Reporting issues or damage to the City of Issaquah or IHCA as soon as possible

Replanting, Irrigation Shut Down and Leaf Cleanup
As leaves begin to fall, our crews will be in full cleanup mode. Depending on weather and timing, this process may continue through November. During this period, we will also proceed with seasonal irrigation shutdowns and replanting projects, as well as landscape upgrades in various areas of the community as needed.
IHCA Winter Snow Removal Service
Be WISE during a snow event! Stay warm, stay informed, stay safe and have reasonable expectations (WISE).
There are 484 acres and over 4,000 homes of serviceable snow removal areas within our Issaquah Highlands community. During a large snow event, the City of Issaquah and IHCA rely on heavy equipment and snow removal protocols to prioritize and implement an effective snow removal process. Snow service will be provided, but it may be delayed during a large event.
Here are a few of the snow removal expectations for the Issaquah Highlands community and your home.
What to Expect from…
The IHCA: The IHCA is responsible for all non-City of Issaquah public roads within the community. During a snow event, the IHCA will communicate with the community through the official Issaquah Highlands social media channels, e-news announcements and issaquahhighlands.com.
The City of Issaquah: The Issaquah Public Works Operations Department plows all public city streets within Issaquah Highlands boundaries, according to its official Snow Priorities Map.
Homeowners: Per the City of Issaquah snow sidewalk rule, it’s the responsibility of the abutting property owner to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice. By keeping your sidewalks clear, you ensure your family and your neighbors can safely walk throughout the community. In addition, we ask that you prepare your landscaping for the winter season by trimming back all landscaping off of public easements.
Important Note: Services might be delayed in your area depending on the snow accumulation, temperatures and access to the community during the snow event. Please treat the area around your home with ice melt and a snow shovel until the city and the IHCA can safely service your area. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
