New this school year, the Highlands Youth (HY) Advisory Board will split its meetings into two parts! The first part is intended for HY Board members to plan events, whereas the second part is open for all teens in the community (grades 7-12).
Each month, the hour-long Teen Workshops will allow youth to connect and learn topics that aren’t always taught in school.
Oct. 6: Scoring the Job You Want
With limited or no job experience, crafting a resume can be challenging. In this interactive workshop, Highlands Consulting will walk you through how to highlight your skills that have been obtained through education, volunteer work, extra-curricular activities, and entry-level jobs. We will also discuss the best ways to look for employment opportunities and impress hiring managers. This workshop will provide you with a more confident starting point in your job search!
