Drawing Herd by Coco Allred is a movable installation that functions as a pop-up site for observational drawing workshops. Designed for all ages and skill levels, the workshops use observation as a tool to both cultivate attention and foster connection. The project aims to provide creative experiences in public parks to increase well-being for self, community and place.
Sharpen your observational skills through birdwatching and drawing. In this course, artists will have the chance to observe a diverse range of bird species in their natural habitats. Knowledgeable birdwatchers will provide insights into bird behavior, migration patterns and habitats. Through a series of rapid drawings, attendees will explore various techniques for capturing movement and relationships observed in nature through art.
This class will meet near the playground at Central Park.
This program is funded by the City of Issaquah through the 2023 Art Season Grant.
