Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is an eight-week, hands-on course that covers emergency preparedness, fire safety, medical triage and treatment, search and rescue, incident management organization, disaster psychology and terrorism. A disaster simulation at the end of the course provides a chance to apply your newly learned skills.

The course has a $35 fee, and includes a CERT backpack and vest, a hard hat, and a basic medical supply kit.
